Toyologist Review: Baby Alive Luv N Snuggle

£9.99 from Toys R Us.

Probably the most important opinion of a doll aimed at small girls is that of a small girl. So here it is:

Yeah, so she was more interested in the Power Ranger. This may have something to do with her teeth starting to come through and a Power Ranger being better for chewing purposes, or it may be because she's got two older brothers (and a dad) with thousands of boy toys so her girl-toy options are always going to be kind of limited.

 - However, a similarly-aged boy discovered the doll lying on the floor and chose to put down the gun (toy) he'd been chewing and have a gnaw on dolly instead -

The doll has a rattle, little pouches to put your fingers (parent, not baby - despite the insistence of my 2 year old son that Baby stick her fingers in) and make it wave, and is machine-washable. It's well-made and will stand up to general playing/being drooled all over. The body is soft, but the face is very hard - as I discovered when the ever helpful 2 year old hit me over the head with it.

The only real question - as with a lot of dolls - is whether you like the face or not. Well, do you?
